A Chair With Value

A director's chair is a powerful seat that holds many responsibilities and now, it is mine.
I stated the class off on Tuesday with body warm-ups and vocal warm-ups. I was shaking from my head to my toes with a strange sense of power that I have never felt before. It was almost overwhelming to have so many eyes looking at me, expecting me to be a leader of them. I jumped into the cold readings as quickly as I could hardly got through half of everyone. Today, we picked up right where we had left off and boy was I surprised! There were people that read for characters that I never would have expected them to read well but when given the chance, read so clearly and with just the right choices that I was blown away. My only hope is that rehearsals with run just as smooth starting next week.
